About Us
Welcome to Pachamama Sonqo, a sanctuary born from a deep commitment to remembering and transformation. My name is Brooke Lumsden, and I am honored to guide you on this journey back to the heart of who you are.
Eight years ago, I found myself at a crossroads in life—lost, disconnected, going through a divorce and yearning for something more. The path that unfolded before me was not easy, but it was necessary. A transformational trip to Peru changed the course of everything for me, revealing the truth hidden beneath years of oppression and societal conditioning. With the help of sacred plant medicines and the wisdom of ancient traditions, I began to see, feel, and open to life in a way I had never experienced before.
It was during this profound journey that I made a promise to the Ancestors: when I became strong enough in my devotion to these ways, I would co-create a space with the Curanderos and Paq’os for others to begin their journey of self-discovery. This commitment is the foundation upon which Pachamama Sonqo was built—a place where memories are rekindled, hearts are opened, and souls are reawakened.
Pachamama Sonqo is not just a retreat; it’s a return to the rhythm of life. Here, we bring together people at a crossroads, just as I once was, offering them the tools and guidance to reconnect with their true selves. Our retreats are deeply rooted in the traditions and medicines that helped me remember who I am, and they are designed to help you do the same.

I do not claim to be a shaman, nor do I position myself as an expert. I am, like you, walking this path—strengthening my practices, deepening my understanding, and remaining committed to these ways in this life. Pachamama Sonqo is a space where we journey together, supporting one another in our growth, healing, and transformation, we are a community!
As you embark on this journey with us, know that you are stepping into a community of kindred spirits—those who are ready to unplug from the system, break free from societal expectations, and return to the truth of who they are. I invite you to join us in this sacred work, to be humble, to grow, and to remember.
With love and blessings,
💚Brookie

It is important to note that while ayahuasca and San Pedro is legal in Peru and forms part of their protected culture and traditional practices, the same is not true in Australia. The medicines and wisdom traditions shared on this experience adhere to local Peruvian law and will be managed and moderated by the local traditional owners.
Currently, in Australia, ayahuasca and San Pedro is illegal. Pachamama Sonqo does not endorse or encourage illegal use of Ayahuasca or San Pedro in Australia. No staff member of Pachamama Sonqo provides medicines in Australia or in Peru. This retreat is designed as a cultural experience.
